It is a great mystery, a great marvel, and truly, a great miracle that within the depths and darkness of our mother’s womb, God carefully, lovingly builds our intricate and exquisite human body. No one knows how it can happen that our entire body is created within the confines of a woman’s womb (Ecclesiastes 11:5).
Each human baby is God’s careful and precise masterpeice, His divine workmanship, a marvellous work! No one but Yahuwah Elohim [the Hebrew name for the LORD God], in His infinite wisdom, could create such an awesome life! And, God has a plan for every one of His marvelous works (Isaiah 44:2; Isaiah 64:8; Ephesians 2:10).
Just as clay is shaped and formed in the skillful hands of a potter, in the same way also, we are shaped, molded and formed by God’s hands, crafted with the utmost skill and patience.
Consider this: a piece of fine, delicate dinnerware is beautiful, exquisite, and crafted with the utmost skill and patience, and it is extremely necessary to guard it from cracks, chips, and breaks. The slightest accident can damage or destroy the delicate piece in a moment. So also, our body is the same — a delicate, wonder-fully-made, creation! We must watch over our body continually, to guard it from spoilage of any kind.
But some may say, “Oh, I’m tough! My body is strong, resistant, and capable!”
Well, let me remind you: if your hand gets caught in a slamming door, then you immediately find out how delicate and fragile your body really is!
In God’s sight, you are an extremely valuable, marvellous, and precious creation! The heavenly Father KNOWS you intimately. He thinks about you all the time, with thoughts of love, care, and delight.
God understands each one of us because He knew us from the moment of our conception, imparting His life into us when we were first created, in the depths of our mother’s womb.
O LORD God, what a mighty God You are!
You are my hope, LORD!
I trust in You!
You created every part of me, and You know everything about me. You knit me together with bones and sinews, in my mother’s womb.
When I was growing in secret, You knew I was there! I was not hidden from You. You carefully put me together. Your hands made me, and fashioned every part of me, delicately forming each intricate part of me.
Your eyes could see my body growing each passing day. You clothed me with skin and flesh, in my mother’s womb. In Your book, all my members were written.
You have held me from the day of my birth.
How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
I praise You, LORD; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!
Marvellous are Your works!! I know it with all my heart.
