The Baby in Your Womb: God’s Workmanship

From our very beginning,800px-HumanNewborn in the hidden and safe place of our mother’s womb, God lays His hand upon us, and begins to shape, mold, and build every intricate and delicate part of our being (Psalms 139:5; Psalms 71:6).

While we are in our mother’s womb, God lays His hand upon us. We are the workmanship of God’s creation. Each and every person created is a fearfully and wonderfully made masterpiece! My heart is in awe when I remember King David’s revelation:

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (Psalms 139:14)

Many, O Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD my God], are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are toward us . . . they are more than can be numbered. (Psalms 40:5)

Each person is the work of God’s own hands! God’s work place is the hidden place of a woman’s womb. God thinks about every detail of every single baby, from the moment of conception. His thoughts are multiple thoughts — thoughts of love, care, and delight!

It is a great miracle, and a great mystery, that within the depths and darkness of our mother’s womb, God carefully builds a person’s body — the intricate, complex human body. No one knows how it happens, that a person’s entire being — spirit, soul, and body, is formed deep inside the secret laboratory of his mother’s womb (Ecclesiastes 11:5).

What a tragedy that anyone could ever be deceived into thinking, that a newly-conceived baby is not a person, a human being! What deception to think that a newly-conceived person in the womb is just a bit of ’tissue,’ a ‘non-person,’ or an ‘inconvenience,’ and something to be discarded! [For those who have experienced this tragedy, there is hope (see below).]

Regardless of the circumstances of the conception, a newly-conceived baby is an innocent, alive, person — a human being, a life that is a ‘work-in-progress’ — the loving workmanship of God’s hands!

Nothing compares to the wonder of the creation of a baby in the womb. The 9-month creation of a human baby is an amazing event, and the entire progression of this event is to be valued with great awe and respect and love.

Thanks to the tremendous advances of modern technology, we can now view the lively progress of a newly-conceived baby, growing in the mother’s womb!

(See another amazing! video link below.)

After seeing the videos of the baby growing and moving inside the womb, there can be no excuse for us to question the validity of the life of a newly-conceived baby! Now every one can confidently know, without any doubt, that a newly-conceived baby is indeed a human life, a human person to be preserved and loved!

Made In Secret

Both King David of Israel PregnantLadyand the prophet Jeremiah wrote about the fact that Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God] considers babies as people, even while they are still in their mother’s womb:

When my bones were being formed, carefully put together in my mother’s womb, when I was growing there in secret, You [Yahuwah] knew that I was thereYou saw me before I was born! (Psalms 139:15,16a)

Then the word of Yahuwah [the LORD] came unto me, saying, Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:4,5)

Kristi Burton Brown of Live Action News, has this to say about some amazing things that happen to babies before birth, while still in their mother’s womb:

“An unborn child is a whole human being from the moment of fertilization (conception), with his/her own unique DNA properties!  At 2 to 3 weeks, a baby’s brain is the “First Organ to Appear.”  A baby’s brainwaves can be measured at 6 weeks old.  A baby’s heart begins to beat at 21 days.  At 6 weeks, a baby will move away if her mouth is touched.  A baby can suck her thumb and yawn at 9 1/2 weeks old.”

—excerpted from 10 Amazing Things That Happen to Babies Before Birth by Kristi Burton Brown of Live Action News

All our bones, muscles, and blood, every organ, artery, vein, nerve, and fibre of our body, are carefully ‘knitted together’ into a wonderful creation, in a manner beyond all comprehension (Psalms 139:13)!

Just as the clay is formed in the potter’s hand, in the same way also we are formed by God’s hands, crafted with the utmost skill and patience. Each human baby is God’s workmanship, and He has a plan for every one of His marvellous works (Isaiah 44:2; Isaiah 64:8; Ephesians 2:10)! [See below the two amazing and awesome video links, of the works of God’s hands from conception to birth.]

The Work of God’s Hands

potters_wheel_clay_sculpt_221395

In God’s eyes, it is a terrible evil for someone to damage or harm the work of His hands — His work of creating innocent babies within the depths of a mother’s womb:

Because they [the workers of iniquity] do not regard the works of Yahuwah [the LORD], the work of His hands, He will tear them down and build them up no more. (Psalms 28:5. See also 2Kings 8:12; Hosea13:16; Amos 1:13)

As the above verse shows us, for those who harm God’s workmanship, there comes the consequence of extreme heartache.  An overwhelming, grievous sorrow results for every one involved, when an unborn baby is disregarded, dismissed, and discarded!

The heavenly Father is indeed abundantly merciful to forgive those who look to Him for forgiveness and restoration! But when we do not regard the work of God’s hands, then His intense grief becomes our intense grief — multiplied! (see Deuteronomy 8:5; Psalms 89:30-33).

Today, many think it is a woman’s ‘right’ to choose what she does with her own body. But we must remember that a baby in the womb is not a woman’s own body — it is the body, and the life, of another! And to intentionally take the life of another person, by any means — with a gun, with a knife, or by abortion — it is the shedding of innocent blood, a clear violation of the Sixth Commandment, a grievous sin — “You shall not murder!” (see Deuteronomy 19:1-13; 2Kings 21:1-16; 2Kings 24:2-4; Deuteronomy 5:17)

Many centuries ago, every one knew that if someone intentionally injured a woman who was ‘with child’ [pregnant], and she lost her child as a result, the person responsible was punished severely, because a ‘life’ had been taken. This has been a well-known principle for ages, and it is written in the Bible as a commandment of God (Exodus 21:22,23).

Choose Life for Your Baby!

Life is a gift from Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God], the Creator of the universe. Yahuwah knows and loves every child, from the moment of conception — regardless of the circumstances of how that child was conceived.

We all understand that some circumstances of a baby’s conception may not be ideal, and may be extremely sorrowful. Yet the fact remains, that every newly-conceived child is the marvellous work of Yahuwah’s hands, and he/she is an innocent life, one that is to be preserved (Psalms 139:14-17).

Our mothers chose life for us — what will we choose? Will we be merciful, and allow an innocent baby to live?

Not Just a Little ‘Discomfort’ For the Baby

Abortion is not just a one-hour appointment, during which time a woman who is ‘with child’ in her womb, endures a little ‘discomfort.’

It is a medical fact that a baby in the womb can feel pain at 20 weeks gestation, and possibly even at 11-13 weeks, or even as early as 5 ½ weeks. When a baby can respond to his/her mouth being touched, even at 6 weeks gestation, then this is obvious evidence of a living person responding to touch. A baby that can feel and respond to touch, can also feel pain! (See the ‘conception to birth’ video links below.)

Years ago it would have been un-imaginable, but sadly, it is true today — that the most dangerous place on earth for a human being is in its mother’s womb! If a person were to be held hostage by terrorists, that would be a most dangerous situation. But more dangerous than that! — is to be a newly-conceived baby in the womb. Today, newly-conceived babies in the womb have a much smaller chance to live!

What has happened to this world? — where loving and protecting an innocent child, loving and protecting the life of a child from conception, is un-fashionable?!?

Approximately 143 Babies Per Hour!

Since the legalization of abortion in babysuckingthumbAmerica in 1973, over 50 million unborn children have been killed. That’s more than the entire population of Texas and New York states combined. That’s about 143 babies per hour, or one every 25 seconds! In the time it takes to read this article, 2 or 3 more innocent lives will be lost! Their life, and God’s loving plans for them, will be taken from them forever.

How can anyone remain apathetic to such an immense human slaughter? According to the Bible, the innocent blood cries out to God for His justice to be done, and for His judgment to take place (Genesis 4:10; Psalms 106; Proverbs 6:16-19).

Kristi Burton Brown goes on to say:

“Since 1973, when abortion was legalized in America by the U.S. Supreme Court, it’s estimated that over 50 million babies have been killed. That’s about 1/6 of the current U.S. population. An exact number would be nearly impossible to estimate because many abortionists never report some of the abortions they perform. So we really have no idea how many more of our children have died without a voice. But this much is clearmuch of an entire generation has been lost!!

–Kristi’s blog, The Lost Generation, is dedicated to this lost generation and to giving them the voice they never had.

If the killing of innocent babies continues, there will be a point at which the iniquity of the land will become full. When it reaches that point, God will bring crushing judgment against each nation, and against the people of these nations, who continue to slaughter their infants, as sacrifices on the altar of ‘convenience.’ For this, the land is said to ‘vomit out’ the people (Leviticus 18:21-25).RoevWadeMAP USA

If we are to avoid this judgment as a nation and as a people, every one of us must repent, and begin speaking out on behalf of these innocent babies, lifting up our voice against this holocaust!

Abortion is like slavery and anti-Semitism. Each begins with the ‘official’ de-valuation of human life, and each results in a holocaust. Each begins with the idea, that this is not a human ‘person’ but merely a non-person, a non-human.

When we kill our babies in the womb, then every other part of society suffers. If life is not worth protecting from the moment of conception, then all of life in general becomes cheap and disposable, and murder becomes acceptable. Society at large continues its downward, degenerate spiral, eventually becoming scornful, insensitive, cynical, irreverent, and profane. It then begins to experience God’s fierce judgment.

*2017 Update: It has now been 44 years since the 1973 Roe v Wade Decision, and over 59 million unborn children in the USA have been killed: *Number of Abortions

Open Our Mouth For the Speechless

Speaking up on behalf of the helpless, those without strength, is often an instinctive impulse. This world is FULL of helpless souls who need someone to speak on their behalf. But this one group — babies in the womb — desperately need someone to speak up on their behalf. Babies in the womb desperately need their mothers to love them and protect them, no matter what the circumstances are!

May it be that none of us will ever be silent about this holocaust within our midst! May it be that none of us, from this moment forward, will ever be connected with supporting the tragedy of abortion!!

Open your mouth for the speechless in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. (Proverbs 31:8)

May it be that all of us will do what we can, and speak up in defense of these innocent lives, these precious babies in the womb. Each child is one of God’s masterpeices, a creation of God’s loving workmanship!

For those who have had an abortion, or for anyone considering an abortion, we must remember that abortion is taking the life of another person — it is murder — it is a sin against God Himself. However, we can ask for, and receive, God’s forgiveness for our sins, if we sincerely repent. No matter how bad, no matter how numerous, God’s forgiveness is available for repentant sinners (see link below: “Help After Abortion”). For those who are already pro-life, but have not spoken out on behalf of the unborn, we too must repent of our sin — the sin of silent indifference and complacency. If it is possible for us to help the unborn, yet we do not lift up our voices, God will require it of us (Ezekiel 33:6,8). To those who confess their sins, God forgives of all sins, and wipes the slate clean (1John 1:9). Even as Messiah forgave the woman accused of adultery, in the same way, He forgives us, and gives us a fresh start. He then tells us, “Go, and sin no more” (John 8:10).

Thank You Father, for the precious gift of life! Forgive me Father, for my indifference in defending the cause of the helpless (Proverbs 31:8)!

Help me Father, to lift up my voice, and speak up in defense of the silent babies within the womb!

Help me Father, to value and choose life for my baby. Help me Father, to help others to choose life for their baby.

Help me Father, to seek Your guidance, strength, mercy, and repentance. I ask for the grace needed to serve You, by choosing life — and by valuing every living person, born and unborn!

I ask this in the name of Your Son, Yahushua Messiah [Jesus Christ], our Saviour.
