By the Word of the LORD – A Poem

By the Word of the LORD were the heavens made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
For He spake — He spake, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
For the Word of the LORD is right;
And all His works are done in Truth.
Thy Word is Truth.

The Words of the LORD are pure Words;
As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
The Commandments of the LORD are pure Words,
Enlightening to the eyes,
Giving understanding and wisdom and enduring hope
To the humble and the simple.

Every Word of God is pure:
He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet,
And a light unto my path.
Hear my cry, and deliver me;
Quicken me according to Thy Word

God’s Son is the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
He is the Word of the LORD made flesh.
No one cometh unto the LORD
Except by and through His Son,
Whose name is called
The Word of God.

The Words of the LORD are pure Words;
As silver tried in a furnace of earth—
Purified, purified seven times;
Preserved forever,
For all, all generations.
