With all the turmoil happening in the world today, it is very difficult to look beyond the earthly, physical realm. The news of so many disruptive and troubling events can hold us captive, dragging us into foaming, fearful, splashing confusion.
It is understandable to be troubled and discouraged by the current events in the world. So much of what is happening seems far beyond repair!
But for ‘Thirsty Souls’, for those who call on the name of Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God], let us remember where our focus needs to be:
Yahuwah [the LORD] on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. (Psalms 93:4)
The heavenly Father is mightier than the rushing, turbulent noises of this world!
Yahuwah’s over-riding plans and eternal purposes will prevail. He will see us, His elect, through to the end.
We are the unseen ones in the earth. The world does not understand us, nor see us.
Because the ungodly, the unrighteous cannot comprehend the invisible Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, Yahuwah Elohim [the name of the LORD God as revealed in the Scriptures].
We love Him, we worship Him, we follow Him. He is as real to us as the morning light, as the billowing clouds, as the wind and waves of the oceans, as the quietness of freshly fallen snow.
And when our earthly house of this body is dissolved, then we will have a spiritual house, a building not made with hands. We will have an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved for us in heaven (1Corinthians 15:44; 1Peter 1:4).
Our lifetime here is a journey into a land of unknowables. The journey may seem long and unbearable, at times.
But soon — like the breath of the wind, like a vapour that vanishes away — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye — we will be resurrected, and will fly away into the secure and ever-lasting arms of our Saviour, to abide with Him forever (James 4:14; 1Corinthians 15:52).
All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but . . . he that does the will of God abides for ever. (1John 2:16-17)
Let us remember . . . Yahuwah is mightier than the noise of many waters! His purposes will ultimately prevail! Let us keep our eyes on Him, doing what is pleasing to Him, being watchful in prayer and obedience.
And when Messiah, who is our life, shall appear, then we shall also appear with Him, in glory (Colossians 3:4).
