The Torah: The Key to Unlocking God’s Word

I am a former ‘wild olive branch’.

But now, as a follower of the Messiah, I have been grafted in to ‘the good olive tree’. Now I am a partaker of the root and fatness of the good olive tree. And therefore, now I am a citizen of the commonwealth of Israel (see Romans 11:17; Ephesians 2:11-13).

This truth of God’s Word has become more real and alive to me in the last several years. Father God has been opening my spiritual eyes.

The Holy Spirit is revealing to Believers worldwide many of the hidden truths of God’s written Word. We are re-discovering the up-to-date relevancy of God’s Word  from the beginning of the Book! The Holy Spirit is restoring the understanding of Father’s heart for His people — that we would love Him by walking according to His Word, as it is written in both the Old and New Testament writings.

Those who have begun to enter into this move of God are having their spiritual eyes opened, and the foggy understanding of God’s Word cleared up. God is opening our eyes to see the restoration of the knowledge of the FULL Word of the LORD God (whose Hebrew name is Yahuwah Elohim).

God is revealing His heart and plans: To Magnify the Torah!

“…He [the LORD God] will magnify [make great] the Torah [the law], and make it honourable” (Isaiah 42:21b).

The present move of the Holy Spirit is a restoration of unlocking the understanding of God’s inspired written Word. We are learning that The Torah, the Writings, and the Prophets [the ‘Old’ Testament] are absolutely necessary guidelines for His children to embrace!

We are called to live our lives by imitating Jesus Christ (whose Hebrew name is Yahushua Messiah):

“He that says he abides in Him, ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked (1John 2:6).

If we are to walk as Jesus did, if we are to imitate the Messiah, then let us remember – our Saviour kept, observed, and validated The Torah!

His Full Counsel

Father desires for His children to have a heart that yearns to love and honour Him, through obedience to His FULL counsel:

The counsel of the LORD [Yahuwah] stands for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations (Psalms 33:11).

The counsel of the LORD is revealed from the start of the Scriptures, from the very beginning!

If we are to show our love and honour for Him, and be conformed to the image of His Son, then we need to live according to His counsel, walking in His ways, even as Jesus Christ did. Jesus (Yahushua), and all His disciples, kept Father’s counsel. They kept Father’s ways — His teachings, instructions, guidelines, and commandments.

They kept the seventh-day Sabbath, they kept the LORD’s annual Feast Days, they ate a Biblically Kosher diet — all these things, and more, are found in the Torah.

The Torah is being magnified, restored, and made honourable, and what a joy it is!

Father is opening the eyes of ‘the wild olive branches’ — the Gentiles who have become Believers in Messiah, and who are grafted into Israel (see Romans 11:17). No longer are we observing pagan holidays that are contrary to God’s instructions! No longer are we being deceived by the ‘commandments of men’ that are so popular within mainstream Christianity! Instead we are entering into God’s foundational truths of the Torah; entering into God’s agenda for His yearly celebrations.

The Holy Spirit is revealing the hidden treasures of the wisdom of Messiah, treasures found within ALL the Scriptures, beginning in Genesis. We are learning that the Old and New Testament teachings complement one another, and blend together in harmony with one another.

We are beginning to see God’s direction and purposes with much more clarity. We are beginning to understand the Hebrew language and the Hebrew mind-set. Numerous Scriptures are finally making sense! (See helpful links below.)

As ‘wild olive branches’ [Gentiles] (1Corinthians 12:2; Ephesians 2:11; 1Thess 4:5; 1Peter 2:12), we are discovering the great importance of walking in Biblical ‘holiness‘ [set-apart-ness]. Most of the instructions for holiness are found in The Torah — “the Law of Liberty” — which is Father’s loving and ‘wondrous’ teachings and instructions and guidelines for His family (James 1:25, 2:12; Psalms 119:18).

He Writes His Torah On Our Heart

Father God pours out His gift of grace [His enablement] upon us when we seek to walk in obedience to Messiah (Hebrews 12:28; Romans 1:5). By the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit within us, Father’s children can ‘walk as Jesus walked.’

We can walk according to His righteous and holy instructions because that is the whole purpose of why He writes His Torah on our heart:

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people (Hebrews 8:10)

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2Corinthians 9:8)

By God’s great grace toward His children, we are enabled to walk by faith and abound in every ‘good work’ — the ‘good works’ of Biblical righteous behaviour through the keeping of the LORD’s loving commandments, and doing those things that are pleasing in His sight (1John 3:22).

The ‘good works’ done according to God’s instructions and counsel are done solely out of our heart’s deep LOVE for the LORD! Our hearts yearn with burning desire to draw closer to Father, and therefore we learn the thoughts of His heart, His counsel, and ALL of His Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments.

We are learning to not reject any of His teachings, including the teachings within The Torah, teachings that teach how to love others and how to live excellently. We are learning Father’s desires for His children — to restore and magnify The Torah and make it honourable!

Walking according to the full counsel of the LORD is not a work of seeking our own righteousness, or seeking justification. We are not trying to earn God’s favour or earn salvation! Salvation is a free gift to those who put their trust in the blood of God’s Son, Jesus Christ (Yahushua Messiah)!

We love our heavenly Father, and therefore we keep His commandments! This is the motivation for our obedience to Torah and all of the Scriptures. Our understanding is opening up to the joy of walking in faithfulness and purity to Father’s teachings with confidence!

Because we are redeemed out of the hand of the evil one, cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, we therefore love the LORD with all our heart! We want to do the things that are pleasing in His sight! And as a result, we have a greater measure of God’s blessings, promised to those who delight in His Torah (Revelation 5:5-10; Romans 3:24-26; 7:22; Psalms 1:2; 112:1; 119:100; 119:174).

The LORD’s (Yahuwah’s) Appointed Times

As we learn from Messiah and the apostle Paul (John 5:46-47; 6:45-63; Acts 18:21; 1Corinthians 4:16; 5:8; 11:1), one major item of our walking in Biblical ‘holiness’ is the observance of Yahuwah’s ‘Mo-ed’ — His Appointed Times. The Hebrew word ‘mo-ed’ [Strongs #4150] means an appointed time or appointed festival. These are the set times that the LORD has appointed to meet with His people:

“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts [mo-ed] of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts [mo-ed].” (Leviticus 23:2)

“. . . For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1Corinthians 5:7b-8)

These are not ‘Jewish’ Feast Days. These are God’s Feast Days! And even the apostle Paul kept the Feasts of the LORD, and he urges us to do as he did (1Corinthians 4:16; 11:1)!

These annual appointments with our heavenly Father are part of the full counsel of the Scriptures — and ALL the Scriptures areprofitable … for instruction in righteousness” (2Timothy 3:16).

When the apostle Paul wrote those words to Timothy, the only ‘Scriptures’ they had were The Torah, the Writings, and the Prophets, what we now call the ‘Old’ Testament. It is these Scriptures that are profitable for us today!

The Shekinah Glory Cloud

Oh dear Thirsty Souls, let us seek to enter into this current move of the Holy Spirit — this restoration of the eternal truth and validity of God’s inspired written Word, both Old and New Testament writings. This restoration is evidence of Father God’s mercy and lovingkindness!

Now is the time to embrace this moving of the Shekinah Glory Cloud of the Holy Spirit, by learning to be obedient to the full counsel of God’s written Word, finding out what Father delights in!

Let us not be unwilling to search for more of God’s truth. Rather, let us humble ourselves, seeking to walk in purity, and earnestly search out the great importance of God’s Torah.

Many of Jesus’ Words point us back to obedience to the teachings and counsel, given from the beginning — in the Torah!

Jesus told us:

“And he that sees Me, sees Him that sent Me…. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak…. he that has seen Me has seen the Father; …. he that loves Me not, keeps not My sayings: and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s which sent Me. (John 12:44-50 and John 14:9, 24).

These verses, and many others in the Gospels, are full of references to Father’s written Word — His teachings and instructions within The Torah!

Let us be of a humble heart, and begin to learn what true Biblical holiness is all about, so that we can be pure and holy and prepared — prepared as a bride, for the return of our Bridegroom-Saviour. Let us adjust our lifestyle so that we may begin to ‘do the basics’ — keep the seventh-day Sabbath, keep God’s annual Feast Days, and maintain a Biblically Kosher diet.

It is time for all of God’s children to be soft-hearted and obedient to the Holy Spirit’s whispers.

It is time to fully accept the eternal, up-to-date relevancy of ALL of God’s written Word, including the Great and Honourable Torah — the KEY to unlocking God’s Word!

    Praise Yah! HalleluYAH!!

As we just kept the New Moon which leads us to His true Sabbath and appointed Feast Days, it gave me pure joy to come across your beautiful blog entry today! It serves as confirmation that we must stay on this narrow road which leads to the New Jerusalem!

As you stated, Yahuwah is revealing so much to His people, and the understanding will only come through delighting in His Torah (Yahushua).

Just as Paul stated to the Colossians:

    Colossians 2:16-17
16 Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. 17 These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

These appointed days lead us to the heart of Yahuwah through them we can understand the mysteries. Yahushua is the complete Torah that is why we must go through Him to get to Yahuwah! As we continue to live as He requires through His Torah the scales will continue to fall from our eyes!

Thank you so much for your obedience to Yahuwah and sounding the trumpet to warn and edify the people!

Thank you BeShea, for your comment and your encouragement! “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound (te’ruah – Strongs # 8643): they shall walk, O Yahuwah, in the light of Your countenance.” (Psa 89:15)
