At the Marriage of The Lamb, these words will be fulfilled:
“Come, I will show you the Bride, the Lamb’s wife.” (Revelation 21:9b)
It is the Bride of Messiah who will be The Lamb’s wife. The Bride of Messiah will one day bear the image of the heavenly, and be presented to her Bridegroom.
The Bride of Messiah will be a company of Born-Again believers in Messiah Yahushua [Christ Jesus] — believers who have learned to study the Scriptures for themselves; believers who desire to be conformed to their Bridegroom, being obedient to all of Messiah’s words, including those He gave to Moses. These devoted believers are learning the glorious, mysterious truths of Messiah’s betrothal to His Bride.
These will thus be presented to Messiah as a chaste virgin (2Corinthians 11:2). Messiah’s Bride has a longing for being presented to her Bridegroom, being clothed in the beauty of holiness, wearing her covering veil, along with her clean and white clothing, not having any spot or wrinkles.
The Bride – The Lamb’s Wife
The Bride of Messiah consists of the wise virgins, who are partakers of the divine nature, loyal children of Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God], the Holy One of Israel! They are set-apart unto Him, following The Lamb of God wherever He goes (Revelation 14:4), even following Him into uncomfortable paths, or perhaps even ‘unfamiliar’ [but Scriptural] doctrinal territory.
The Bride of Messiah is also the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22 and Revelation 21:10).
The Bride-Company of believers are those who have set their affection on things above, where the Bridegroom is seated next to the Father (Colossians 3:1-3). This company of believers is unseen and mysterious to the natural, worldly-minded, because the Bride is hidden from them — hidden from the world’s understanding and perceptions (2Corinthians 4:3-7).
There are many Scriptures that are prophetic of Messiah’s Bride. The whole book of the Song of Solomon is a prophetic story about the Bridegroom [Yahushua Messiah] and His Bride [the Bride of Messiah]. It is in the Song of Solomon where we find a glimpse of the Bridegroom’s consuming love for His Bride.
Messiah Greatly Desires His Bride
Over and over, in this Song of Songs, the Bridegroom addresses His Bride with tender, loving names, calling her:
My Love, My Fair One, My Dove, My Spouse, My Sister, My Undefiled
These addresses of love for His Bride show a compassion and an affection for her. Our Messiah most assuredly ‘greatly desires’ His beautiful Bride, that is set-apart for Himself (Psalms 45:11 and Psalms 4:3)!
It was His great love for His Bride that inspired Him, moved Him, to come down from the heavenly palace so that He could redeem her, cleanse her, and clothe her in robes of righteousness. Therefore the Bride longs to make herself ready for the marriage to The Lamb (Matt 25:10; Rev 19:7), by maintaining our devotion and set-apart-ness unto Him.
When we remember the Bridegroom’s love and desire for His Bride, then our love for Him increases! We are inspired in our diligence to be properly clothed, and to make ourselves ‘ready’ because — “We love him, because he first loved us!” (1John 4:19)
Are You A Bride-Candidate?
Dear Reader, are you a Bride-Candidate? Do you have a longing to be a part of the Bride-Company? The desire to love, honour, and obey our Bridegroom is a longing given to us by the Father! Yahushua has told us:
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— (John 6:44-45)
It is Yahuwah, our heavenly Abba Father, Who is working within us by His Holy Spirit, drawing us closer and closer to our Bridegroom. As children of the King, it is from our Father that we learn preparation details for making ourselves ready — details such as humility, yieldedness, obedience, honour, and respectfulness.
It is from Yahuwah Himself that we will learn the Ways of our preparation. This is why the Bride-Company is addressed as The King’s Daughter in Psalms 45:
The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold. (Psalms 45:13)
This verse in Psalms 45 is prophetic of the Bride of Messiah. The glorious Bride of Messiah is the daughter of The King, the Mighty One of Israel, the King of glory, Who shall reign forever and ever (Psalms 89:18, 24:8, & 10:16)!
As daughters of The King, we must diligently look to our Father, to observe His royal ways! We desire to learn from Him, to honour and respect Him, and trust in His Words and His timing, for the consummation of our marriage to The Lamb.
Our Genuine Heart’s Desire
The King wants us to observe His ways, and to learn from Him, which is why He has made the way for our learning to be our genuine heart’s desire:
My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. (Proverbs 23:26)
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people (Hebrews 8:10)
When Father grafts us into the olive tree, we enter into His Covenant, and He begins to write His laws on our mind and heart (Romans 11:16-25). If we have a genuine desire to honour and obey Yahuwah, it is because He has written His laws on our heart!
It is up to each one of us to search His Word, and to try, examine, and test our ways, earnestly seeking to walk in His ways, especially those foundational instrcutions given in the Torah. Our heart yearns to follow the simple instructions of His Word and shun any twisted interpretations of His Word. This is how we may be found acceptable unto Him, fulfilling the good work He has begun in us, whereby we shall be putting on our clothing of ‘wrought gold.’
Yahushua Messiah, our Bridegroom, knows that as we learn from His Father, we are learning His own desires and wishes too! It is a mystery to the natural mind, but the facts of Scripture remain clear — Yahushua said: “I and my Father are one!” (John 10:30; John 17:11,21)!
Now we can better understand one of the prayers of the Bride-Company:
And let the beauty of Yahuwah our Elohim [the LORD our God] be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Psalms 90:17)
Bride-Candidates want the ‘beauty of Yahuwah’ upon them. They desire the beauty of holiness [set-apart as special] to shine forth from them, that they may be beautiful to the Bridegroom! It is this beauty, this set-apart-ness, that makes Yahushua address His Bride with such words as:
My Love, My Fair One. Let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice. You have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; you have ravished my heart with one of your eyes (Song of Songs 2:10, 14; 4:9).
Our Eyes Are On Yahuwah Our Father
Abba Father urges us, the Bride-Candidates, to “Look to Him” so that we may learn from Him the ways of His Kingdom:
Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon Yahuwah [the LORD] our God, until that he have mercy upon us. (Psalms 123:2)
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. (Proverbs 4:25,26)
Look unto me [Yahuwah], and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:22)
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. (Psalms 5:3)
Yahuwah, our heavenly Father, is searching for those special sons and daughters who have the traits of yieldedness, obedience, respectfulness — traits that are uniquely Bridal traits! Such special ones are considered as The King’s Daughters, for they desire to make themselves ready for their beloved, Yahushua Messiah!
The Bride-Company of believers have their Father’s laws [His Torah] in their mind, and written on their heart (Jeremiah 31:31-33). Therefore they gladly receive Father’s Words as they search the Scriptures for themselves. They look to Yahuwah, looking into His perfect Law of Liberty (James 1:25), with a genuine heart’s desire to learn His Words and His ways.
Is this your heart’s desire?
May it be that each one of us will seek for a heart that is fully turned to our Abba Father every day — inquiring of Him, learning and obeying His Words.
