She had been minding her own business, oblivious to her surroundings. Yet, she was crying – weeping over her loss — the loss of her beloved. Losing him was so unexpected. She wanted desperately to find him! But all she could do now was weep and sob. She was hurting and alone.
Her heart ached for her beloved. She had never known such a love as his. She knew she did not deserve such a love. His love for her was the most wonderful thing she had ever known. But now, he was gone.
Why was he gone? Oh how she missed him! What had happened? Where was he? Her thoughts continued to agonize over not being able to find him. In the midst of her weeping, she groaned to herself, “Oh where is he?”
She did not know someone was right behind her. He spoke to her, but she did not notice. She sighed, groaning again, “Oh where is he?”
Then — she heard a soft voice. She heard someone calling her name. It sounded familiar… could it be?
Quickly, she turned around and saw him!
Oh the joy that flooded her soul! There he was — her beloved!!
He was just as glad as she was!! He was thrilled to be re-united with her — his beloved.
He spoke to her, “Arise my love, my beautiful one, and come.” She rushed into his arms. He told her he had been standing there behind her, watching her, and he was so glad she finally turned around. What joy they shared!
Sometimes, all it takes to find great joy is to simply … turn around.
You too, Dear Reader, have a beloved one — someone who is standing right behind you, loving you, watching and hoping that you will simply turn around and see Him.
Do you know who you would see if you turned around? It would be the Lover of your soul — Yahushua Messiah [the Hebrew name of the Saviour, also known by the Greek name Jesus Christ]. He is the Great and Mighty One who loves you richly! He wants you to know Him! He wants to guide you into the True and the Everlasting Way.
And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:40)
Truly I say unto you, He that believes on Me (Yahushua) has everlasting life. (John 6:47)
When you turn away from yourself, and begin to look to Yahuwah Elohim [the Hebrew name of the LORD God], and to His Son Yahushua [Jesus] Messiah, then you will begin to understand the great love God has for you. God loves you so much that He gave His most prized possession to redeem you from harm and death.
For God so loved the world [loving you and me], that he gave his only begotten [and beloved] Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
Yahushua Messiah, the Light of the World, wants to shine into your life, and fill you with His love — and give you understanding and hope. He is the only One who can answer the deepest longing of your soul, and can set you free from loneliness and emptiness.
If you will turn to the Bible and look in the book of John, you will see that God has made The Way to eternal life and hope available for anyone — any ‘whosoever.’ Any and all who come to Him with a true and sincere heart can have a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Then spake Jesus… saying, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
“I am come [as] a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” (John 12:46)
Why Is It That Many Do Not Know Him?
But why is it that so many do not know Him? Why are so many separated from Him? The separation from the Lover of our souls is due to our sins [our disobedience to God]. The deep, empty feeling inside us is because each one of us is separated from our One True Friend and Lover — the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
For the wages of sin is death…. (Romans 6:23)
We are separated from Him because we have sinned against Him, Yahuwah Elohim, the God of the Universe, the Maker of all things — we have broken His commands. God’s wrath is against the hard-hearted, selfish and sinful ways of mankind. (Romans 2:5)
Each one of us has rejected God’s loving instructions found in the Bible and have gone our own way. Our sins have separated us from our Maker — and the penalty for sin is death.
The Way of Reconciliation
But God has made The Way for re-uniting with Him. Those who turn to Him will find Him! Yahushua Messiah said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Our salvation — our recovery to God — can be found only in God’s Son, Yahushua Messiah!
Everyone who turns to God and meets Yahushua Messiah, God’s Son, and follows His Words, will receive the free Gift of God – “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ [Yahushua Messiah] our Lord” (Romans 6:23). All who sincerely cry out to God for His mercy will be reconciled to Him.
Each one of us must personally turn to God, and seek His Son. We must personally, and sincerely, talk to God, and accept His provision for our salvation — His salvation provided for us through the death of His Son, Yahushua Messiah. Yahushua is The Way of our restoration — our only Way of salvation!
Believe that God loves you! You are worthy of His love! God wants you to turn around and come to Him. He has provided the entrance for you into His Kingdom!
Earnestly seek God for His help and His guidance. Ask Him to forgive you, to cleanse you of your sin with the only provision given for removal of sin — the precious blood of His Son, Yahushua the Messiah.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yahushua Messiah [Jesus Christ] His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1John 1:7)
By His own blood, He [Messiah Yahushua] entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (Heb 9:12)
In the Bible, God tells us that He sent His Son Yahushua to this earth, to die in our place, and to become the perfect sacrifice on our behalf. Yahushua rose from the dead and is now at the Father’s right hand, praying for you!
God Is Calling You!
God is calling you. By His Holy Spirit, He is right beside you, calling you to turn around and come to Him. There is no solution in ourselves. We must turn away from ourselves, and look to Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God].
God rejoices whenever one of His lost ones comes to Him. He wants to reconcile, and to save sinners — to save any ‘whosoever’ that will turn around, come to Him.
Yahushua Messiah came to seek and to save the lost — those separated from Him. He offered Himself as the perfect, sinless, and eternal sacrifice unto God, to pay the price for our sins, and to redeem us from our iniquities [the breaking of God’s commands]. Why did He do that? Because He loves us!
The Way is now open. All you have to do is turn around and come to Him. He loves those who trust Him, who turn to Him! He is near to all who call on Him in true sincerity.
Call out to God today. Say a prayer to Him. Tell Him, out loud with your voice, that you need Him. Wait patiently on Him and trust Him, for He is good and kind to those who call on Him in truth.
Here’s a prayer that may help you know what to say to God:
“Dear God: I want to meet You and know You. I know I am a sinner. I believe Your Son died in my place. I ask You to save me and cleanse me from my sins by the blood of Yahushua [Jesus]. I ask You to forgive me for my sins. I want to turn around, and live my life for You. I ask You to come into my life and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I ask You to help me to turn away from the things that grieve You, and help me to follow You. Hold me close to you and never let me go! Bring me into Your Kingdom, and make me Your child. I pray this in the Name of Your Son, Yahushua Messiah [Jesus Christ]. Amen.”
Sometimes, all it takes to find great joy is to simply … turn around.
