5 Reasons Why Good, Clean Living Always Pays Off

Good, clean living has great rewards!coldwaterglassjpg

First Reason:

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart! (Psalms 73:1)

Good, clean living pays off because Yahuwah [the LORD] will be good to those who are of a clean heart, and are attempting to live before Him with a good, clean, and honest conscience! Yahuwah gives His children good things in abundance, and every good thing we have is from Him! (Matthew 7:11 and James 1:17) The goodness of Yahuwah upon those who are seeking to live before Him with a clean heart is a blessing that brings enrichment to our lives, and adds no sorrow to us (Proverbs 10:22)! And what amazing goodness He offers — no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly!! (Psalms 84:11b)

Second Reason:

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me [Yahuwah]: and to him that ordereth his conversation (his way, his behaviour) aright will I show the salvation of God. (Psalms 50:23)

Good, clean living pays off because Yahuwah’s salvation and rescue is revealed to those who seek to order their way ‘aright’ — that is, living a life properly, honestly, and according to the purity of God’s Word! These children are grateful, and express thankfulness to Yahuwah for His salvation! They know and understand the saving, refreshing mercies of the Mighty One of Israel, just as a flourishing tree that is planted by the rivers of water (Psalms 1:1-6).

Third Reason:

The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9)

Good, clean living pays off because Yahuwah will give His strength to those who seek to maintain a good, clean life — those who are in right-standing with Yahuwah! They will know Yah’s gracious strength on their behalf! They will have the strength they need to firmly hold on to their faith, and to maintain their integrity before God. When we cling to the good and right ways of the pure Word of Yahuwah, then we will know the blessings of Father’s inner strength within us, giving us the ability we need, to go from strength to strength (Psalms 84:5-7).

Fourth Reason:

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation (behaviour) in Christ. (1Peter 3:15,16)

Good, clean living pays off because those who keep their conscience good and clean have the reward of a hopeful, joyful heart! A good conscience enables us to live a life that keeps us sensitive and receptive to the peace of God in Messiah Yahushua [Christ Jesus]. When we seek to live a life that is set-apart unto to Abba Father, then we will have the endurance to withstand the pressures of opposition, and we will know the blessings of Yahuwah’s protection and favour, and His delight (Psalms 5:11,12; Proverbs 11:20b).

Fifth Reason:

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22)

Good, clean living pays off because those who live before God by maintaining a good, clean, and honest life, have the reward of confidently approaching Yahuwah, trusting in Him and His mercy, and not in themselves. Such dear children of Abba Father know the reward of His fellowship, and the cleansing power of the precious blood of Yahushua Messiah sprinkled upon their sins, thus renewing their clean conscience and right spirit, over and over again (1John 1:3-10). They have confidence to approach Father any time they are in need of His mercy and grace (Hebrews 4:16).

Many often are misled or accomplish little to nothing because they try to become ‘learned’ rather than learning to live well. The glory of a good man is the testimony of a good conscience. Therefore, keep your conscience good and you will always enjoy happiness, for a good conscience can bear a great deal and can bring joy even in the midst of adversity. But an evil conscience is ever restless and fearful. It is a good, clean conscience that inspires great trust in God. Happy is the man who casts from him all that can stain or burden his conscience.  — Thomas a Kempis

A Whole Heart:
What does it mean to seek God with a whole heart? When we seek for something with a ‘whole heart’, we are searching with great desire, focus, diligence, and even with a measure of passion and agony! Are we willing to put aside all other things in order to gain the supremely wonderful fellowship and friendship of Messiah?
