When will Eliyah [Elijah] come?
Traditionally, the Passover Seder includes a special cup and a table setting for the prophet Eliyah. It is the hope of the Jewish people that the prophet Eliyah will return at the time of Passover to announce the Messiah Redeemer:
Behold, I will send you Eliyah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD (Malachi 4:5).
John the Baptist came “in the spirit and power of Eliyah … to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Luke 1:17). John proclaimed the Messiah Redeemer to Israel when he saw Yahushua [Jesus] of Nazareth, and declared “Behold the Lamb of God!” (John 1:29)
Will there be another ‘John the Baptist’ ? Will there be another to come again, in the spirit and power of Eliyah? — to make ready a people prepared for the Messiah? — to declare the return of the Messiah?
Those who know Yahushua [Jesus] of Nazareth — the Risen Saviour, the Messiah Redeemer — they are looking with anticipation for His return! But, He promised that Eliyah would come first, and restore all things (Matthew 17:11).
Restore All Things
Before Messiah returns, a restoration must first happen, as Yahushua told us:
And Yahushua [Jesus] answered and said unto them, Eliyah truly shall first come, and restore all things. (Matthew 17:11)
Part of Eliyah’s mission is — to restore all things!
What kind of restoration could happen?
The most important restoration that must happen is a restoration of the WORD of God! And that is what is happening now!
There is a restoration of God’s Word that is happening in these days, throughout the world. It is a restoring of the precious truth of the unchanging nature of the written WORD of Yahuwah Elohim [the Hebrew name for the LORD God].
As the Scriptures reveal, Father’s Word is true from the beginning:
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever. (Psalms 119:160)
And I [Yahuwah] will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counselors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. (Isaiah 1:26,27)
Let that therefore abide [remain] in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. (1John 2:24)
These Scriptures reveal a key element of the restoration — from the beginning!
This is a major phrase in this time of restoration. ‘From the beginning’ reminds us of the truth of Yahuwah’s unchanging Word; that the WORD of God is true from the beginning, beginning with Genesis!
Yahuwah, the Mighty One of Israel, is restoring the understanding, the truths, and the riches of His Word, from the beginning! This embraces the entire written Word of God, which includes the TaNaKh!
The TaNaKh is the acronym which uses the first Hebrew letters of the names of the three subdivisions of the Hebrew Bible: Torah (“Teaching”), Nevi’im (“Prophets”) and Ketuvim (“Writings”).
More and more, Born-again Believers are re-discovering Father’s Word from the beginning! And the essential purpose of this restoration is to make Yahuwah’s people ready and prepared for Messiah’s return! Father is restoring our understanding of His complete and pure Word, and how it applies to our preparation!
The restoration first began by the raising up of the ‘dry bones’ of the nation of Israel. Father has miraculously re-established the nation of Israel. His people are returning to their inheritance, just as He promised in the Scriptures.
Not only has the nation of Israel been restored, but now also, Yahuwah is restoring in His people a greater level of understanding and obedience to His written Word. He is reviving the eternal, unchanging, and absolute nature of His Word, both Old and New Testament writings. Born-again Believers in Yahushua are hearing and embracing the full counsel of Yahuwah’s written Word, and are returning to the Hebrew roots of The Faith.
Both Jew and Gentile
Father is preparing and restoring His people, both Jew and Gentile. With the eyes of faith, we can see, little by little, that Yahuwah is breaking down divisions. He is bringing reconciliation.
More and more, the Jewish people are learning that Yahushua Messiah [Jesus Christ] DID keep Torah, just as all faithful children of Yahuwah Elohim do! The Jewish people are beginning to see something new about this One, Yahushua of Nazareth, who claims to be their Messiah.
And Gentile Believers in Messiah who were once aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants (Ephesians 2:12), they are entering into a deeper knowledge of the full counsel of Yahuwah’s Word. They are beginning to understand the awesome truth of being grafted into the olive tree of the people of Israel.
The Gentile Believers are encouraged by Paul’s message in Romans:
… you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them, you partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree …. (Romans 11:17)
As this Scripture reveals, the wild olive branches, who are the Gentile Believers, are ‘grafted-in’ to Israel through faith in Messiah, and so may partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree. The Gentile Believers are joining God’s people by partaking of the ‘roots’ of our faith, which is Hebrew in nature.
Father is opening the eyes of the Gentile Believers to see the hidden treasures of the wisdom and knowledge of Messiah, as they are revealed within ALL the Scriptures, beginning in Genesis. We are beginning to understand the Scriptures from their original, Hebrew orientation. We are discovering and partaking of the great and important riches of our Hebrew roots found in The Torah.
The Torah most often refers to the first five books of the Bible. These books in the Bible contain Father’s loving instructions and guidelines for all His People. This is where we begin to find the ‘roots’ of our faith. Learning Yahuwah’s original teachings and guidelines, from the beginning, helps to dissolve the ‘foggy conflicts‘ within Christianity, and restore understanding of our walk of faith, as Father intended!
Our Saviour Himself walked according to the guidelines and instructions of the Torah!
Does Father desire of us to follow Yahushua’s example??
The apostle John answers: “He that says he abides in Him [Yahushua] ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked!” (1John 2:6)
The Torah is Honourable!
Now we are learning Father’s heart regarding The Torah:
“…Yahuwah [the LORD] will magnify [make great] the law [the Torah], and make it honourable” (Isaiah 42:21).
This Scripture reveals the ‘Present Truth’ for us — the restoration of the Torah for many Believers — that the Torah is honourable, and we are to delight in it!
We are learning that the Torah is absolutely vital and necessary! It is an essential and vital part of the Scriptures, and it is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2Timothy 3:16).
When the apostle Paul wrote those words to Timothy, Paul was referring to the only Scriptures available at that time — The Torah!! [Sometimes the word Torah is used as referring to the entire Old Testament.]
Today, Father is restoring His inspired Word by teaching us what the apostles knew — that God’s Word is true and unchanging, from the beginning!
Keeping Yahuwah’s seventh-day Sabbath, His annual Feasts, learning the Hebrew names, eating Biblically Kosher — all these things, and more, are found in The Torah. And these are part of the current ‘restoration of all things.’ They are part of the hidden treasures of wisdom in Messiah!
When we walk in obedience to Father’s absolute truths of the Torah, then the New Testament writings begin to come alive, and make so much more sense! We begin to understand how our Greek mind-set thinking has robbed us of truly understanding God’s written WORD. The Greek mind-set thinking has taken so many of us off-base, and away from the Hebrew roots of our faith — a faith that is to be based on our actions, not just what we believe.
The ‘Present Truth’ of the Holy Spirit is restoring Yahuwah’s WORD, as it was originally intended — restoring the foundation, restoring the roots of our faith in Messiah!
The Present Truth
As we saw in That It May Be Well With You, we discussed the ‘Present Truth’ of today. The ‘Present Truth’ is what the current and fresh moving of the Holy Spirit is. The ‘Present Truth’ is what the Holy Spirit is emphasizing among the children of Yahuwah.
The moving of the Holy Spirit is as the glorious Shekinah Glory Cloud that stayed with the children of Israel throughout their years in the wilderness. When the Cloud moved, the children of Israel were to move along with it (Exodus 40:34-38, Numbers 9:17-22).
May each one of us be yielded and soft-hearted to this ‘Present Truth’ of the restoration of the Hebrew roots of our Faith — the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3).
May we be willing to follow the moving of the Holy Spirit’s ‘Present Truth’, even if it is unfamiliar to us.
May we diligently seek Yahuwah’s Word, seeking more discernment according to His Word, seeking His grace to be obedient to the FULL instructions of God’s Word, including the Words written from the beginning of the Book!

The Spirit and Power of Eliyah
The spirit and power of Eliyah must surely be in our midst even now, because Yahuwah is rapidly restoring His Word, and His people! We are living in the time of the end, and the climax of Yahuwah’s plans is very near! We are living in glorious days, witnessing the spirit and power of Eliyah to bring a restoration of all things — including Father’s WORD!
The prophetic words of Paul Wilbur’s song, These Are the Days of Elijah, are now being fulfilled:
These are the days of Elijah, declaring the Word of the LORD!
And these are the days of Your servant, Moses, Righteousness being restored
The “Word of the LORD” is being declared more fully, and is being restored! Righteousness, according to the Word of Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God], is being restored! This ‘Present Truth,’ this present moving of the Holy Spirit, is restoration!!
As we saw in Obeying Torah is Not About Salvation, we are finally understanding what it means to ‘Be Holy!’
Father is preparing His people, a company of dedicated and obedient children, making them ready and prepared for the return of Messiah Yahushua!
HalleluYAH!
